March 2012

Hello Again, Everyone.

Whilst the London Olympics are set to dominate the headlines this year we do, as ever, have our own great events programme for you to enjoy in 2012, including eleven quizwalks.

What's more, with two young children of my own I am particularly keen this year to see more youngsters on our quizwalks trying their hands at the "Kiddies Klues" sections set especially for them. So I've tasked myself to get more exposure for us in publications covering events for young families.

At the same time I've asked all our organisers to help too - for example, by ensuring that the pubs they choose as starting venues are child-friendly, by putting more information on their flyers about child facilities and the walk terrain and by trying, wherever possible, to make their routes accessible to all.

Annual subscriptions are to remain at £2 for adult members. Please give them to Kath Biggs (Club Treasurer) next time you see her.

As is traditional we are kicking off our season with the Andi'Cap Quizwalk, being organised this year by Roger Heath & Joyce Heywood on 15th April from the Skimmington Castle pub, nestling in some lovely walking territory on Reigate Heath.

Below is the full events programme for 2012. For specific information about any event look up the Diary & Walks section on our website or contact Roger Heath 01737 352832 or James Biggs 07889 384047.
