Walk & Location Information

The Walk: 3.6 miles on local lanes, footpaths & bridleways, generally very flat terrain, no stiles. The above includes a short section through the village towards the end of the walk with no clues to solve.
 
The Venue: The Waggon & Horses is a long-established village pub just a short walk from Twyford railway station. There is a car park and a large garden at the rear. Real ale served, normally including London Pride and Harvey's Best. Sunday lunches, served until 3pm, include a selection of roasts. If you'd like to book please call them on 0118 934 0376.

Directions

The Waggon & Horses, 61 High Street, Twyford, Berks RG10 9AJ
By car: From M4 jct 8/9 take A404(M) to junction with A4 at Maidenhead Thicket roundabout. Turn left and follow the A4 for approximately 4.5 miles. Soon after passing the Horse & Groom pub on your left, then Wyevale garden centre on your right, turn left onto London Rd (A3032). Continue for 1.5 miles to Twyford village centre. Straight ahead at traffic lights, past the Duke of Wellington pub, over the branch line bridge and the Waggon & Horses is a little further on your left.

Public Transport

There is a half-hourly service from London Paddington departing at 00 and 42 minutes past the hour. Return trains depart Twyford around 24 and 57 minutes past the hour, typical journey times are around 50-55 mins.
From the main station exit, go left and follow Station Road past the Chinese takeaway. Continue to Twyford crossroads, then turn left along High Street past the Duke of Wellington pub, over the branch line bridge and the Waggon & Horses is a little further on your left.
