Special Quiz Walk

A special circular walk with 25 clues to solve (plus 2 spares).

In recognition of the Covid-19 restrictions this quizwalk is for members to do at any time of their choosing as long as their answers are submitted on or before the closing date of 30th June.

Social distancing rules MUST be observed at all times.

Walk & Location Information

The Walk: This undulating 3.5 mile route is mostly on footpaths and quiet roads. It takes in a section of the London Loop and passes through Oaks Park with its cafe. No stiles. Not recommended for buggies.
 
The Venue: The Jack and Jill pub is closed at present and is expected to remain so during the timeframe set for this quizwalk. Park in the roads adjacent to the small green opposite the pub.

Directions

From the five-way roundabout at Tadworth take exit signposted Coulsdon A2032.
At 0.5 miles (end of Bonsor Drive) turn right over railway bridge. At 2.3 miles under railway bridge.
At 3.7 miles under second railway bridge. At 3.8 miles turn left off A2032 into Sandown Road. Very soon at T junction turn right (St Andrew's Road). Now take second left (Alexander Road). At X roads keep ahead into Whitethorn Avenue. At next cross roads turn right (The Mount). At 4.8 miles reach green opposite pub.

Public Transport

The nearest railway station is Woodmansterne. Check train times at website www.nationalrail.co.uk. From platform climb steps to bridge and turn right to road in front. Cross diagonally left and head up Alexander Road opposite. At X roads ahead into Whitethorn Avenue. At next cross roads turn right (The Mount). Continue to green opposite the Jack and Jill pub. (Distance walked 0.7 miles)

There is a 463 bus stop in The Mount opposite the pub. Service runs between Coulsdon South and Pollards Hill. Check bus times at www.tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/.

HM Govt. currently advises against using public transport for non-essential purposes.
